When buying glue, have you encountered that the bond you purchased does not achieve the effect you want? Does the glue you bought complicated to use, and it sticks everywhere? Do you want to buy the most appropriate and convenient product at one time when purchasing glue?
Spray glue is a good option. Spray glue is a highly viscous, versatile, and easy-to-use product. Using spray adhesive can make the whole process more manageable when you use glue on fabrics, plastics, sponges, and metals. Next, please follow us to learn about spray glue so that you can choose the spray glue that matches your use direction.
What is Spray Adhesive?
Spray adhesive is a low-viscosity liquid glue that uses a type of dispensing system which can create an aerosol mist. During their use, because they are spray-like, you can spray the glue evenly on the surface of the object. Similarly, the moisture in the glue evaporates very quickly, so it can have a strong viscosity in a short time. There are several different types of them, suitable for different needs.
What Are Spray Adhesive Used For?
The scope of application of spray glue is extensive. It can usually be used in the clothing industry, electrical and electronic industry, automotive equipment industry, furniture, household products industry, jewelry accessories industry, luggage industry, shoe industry, toy industry, etc.
Most spray glues are dry and transparent and do not readily penetrate, so they will not affect the appearance of the sticker or adherend when used. At the same time, because it is in the form of water mist, the water is easily volatilized, which can significantly reduce the waiting time for drying. Some spray adhesives are repositionable, allowing minor adjustments.
You can use spray glue to paste metal, wood, paper materials, fabrics, glass, and other materials. Some spray glues are not suitable for storage in a high or humid environment, and some will corrode certain materials. So when you plan to use the spray adhesive, you’d better read the instruction manual of the spray glue so that you can know how to store it and whether the spray is suitable for these materials.
What Types Of Spray Adhesive You Can Choose?
The spray adhesives are available in a wide range of strengths. We can tailor to meet specific project requirements with the required bond strength to suit different projects. We divide spray glue into six categories:
Embroidery Spray Adhesive
Spray glues under this category are great for machine appliqués, quilting, embroidery, and handicrafts—odorless, colorless, fog-free, non-stick sewing needles.
Multipurpose Spray Adhesive
This type of spray glue is suitable for large projects. It has good adhesion to various materials like plastic, paper, fiberglass, etc. And it is cost-effective.
Neoprene All-purpose Spray Adhesive
Neoprene All-purpose Spray Adhesive has strong adhesion, a long viscosity range, and excellent spray performance. Foam spray adhesive is anti-aging, has high solids content, has firm adhesion, is suitable for various harsh applications, and can be used in cold conditions.
SBS All-Purpose Spray Adhesive
SBS All-Purpose Spray Adhesive for bonding paper, foil, cardboard, wool, cork, fiberglass, and various lightweight materials to itself or other substrates.
Screen Printing Spray Adhesive

Sponge Spray Adhesive
Products in this category are mainly used for sound insulation.
How to use spray adhesive?
Using spray glue is not tricky, but you can make your glue work better after you know how to use it. Let’s go through the following steps to get a general understanding of how to use spray glue properly.
Prepare before using:
Before we start using it, we need to do some preparations: First, find a well-ventilated area with a workbench that can accommodate your use. After that, we need to cover the table and chairs with paper or some unimportant cloth to avoid glue sticking when we use the spray glue. Of course, putting yourself in protective clothing, goggles, and latex gloves would be great. If not, that’s okay. You can change into your old clothes. Finally, ensure the stuck object’s surface is clean and free of any residue like oil, water, etc.
Ready the glue:
Spray glue is more sensitive to temperature, so it is recommended to use it at 15-35℃ . You can use the Sprayidea spray adhesive after opening the lid. Its nozzle has multi-directional rotation, and you can adjust the direction of the spraying by rotating the white nozzle. When using it, you can avoid twisting your wrist frequently. Very easy and convenient. Before using the spray glue, you need to shake it enough to make the liquid inside more uniform to achieve a better effect.
Apply the spray glue:
When spraying, the distance to the bonding surface should be 20-30cm. So that the sprayed liquid has a sizeable receiving surface and no water droplets will accumulate on the object’s surface. After drying for about 30-60s, you can stick the objects to the adherend.
If you want to be able to reposition it when pasting, then just apply a coat. If you’re going to stick it more firmly, you can choose two methods:
- Cross-overlay spraying: spray horizontally first, then spread vertically.
- Two objects that need to be pasted and their contact surfaces all need to touch with glue.
Of course, you can use both 1 and 2. It will be more solid.
If you want the stickiness between objects to be stronger after application, set it aside and let it dry for a few hours, or a day, then use it.
Clean up and store:
When ultimately used, turn the spray can upside down and spray down for about 2-3 seconds to remove any glue residue from the spray head. It is best to wipe it with a cotton swab so that the nozzle will not be blocked when you use it again.
When storing, you need to consider the following points:
- Avoid being close to heat sources, fire sources, and long-term direct sunlight, otherwise it might explode.
- You should store it under 30℃ and not in places above 49 ℃.
- Please keep it out of the reach of children.
- Before discarding, completely spray the adhesive out.
